v Difference between Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.
Ø Although The Lord of the Rings is not about witchcraft, it does have a character Indian it, named Gandalf, who is called a wizard and a sorcerer by other character. Having a wizard Indian a story is a moral problem, because the Bible condemns sorcery.
Ø In the Lord of the Rings fantasy, however, Tolkien treats Gandalf as a special creature being. Unlike Harry Potter and his friends, Gandalf is not as a special created being. Gandalf is not mortal human being.
Ø Also, Indian the lord of the Rings, the power of the evil magical ring is not something to be sought, but to be shunned and destroyed. Even Gandalf and the magical elves shun the power of the evil ring. This is much, much different than the magical; power Indian the Harry Potter Series, where the use of magic and witchcraft is accepted and encouraged by the human character.
Ø One of the big differences of the both novels that is a different antology, a different view of the nature of reality. In The Lord of the Rings, reality is real, and actions have real consequences.

Ø The Themes in the Harry Potter
Ø The Themes in the Lord of the Rings are limited and weak. Harry Potter includes themes of good vs. evil, bravely, friendship and loyalty, love and its powerful magic and of good and evil not being purely black and white.
Ø Lord of The Ring focuses too much on the details of the world withing the story and no enough on character development, plot development of themes.
Ø The sign of the Deathly hallows represents all three objects symbolically. The Wand, The stone, and The Cloak.
v Theme in the Lord of the Rings.
1)    Lust of Power
Ø Gandalf is afraid of the Rings. He has been first hand that good people can be ruined by this evil Rings.Gabariel is the same way, she does not want to be ruined by power.
Ø Boromir is an is an example of a good man who covets the Ring within the action of the novel. He thinks that he can handle the ring and not be affected by it.
2). War between Good and Evil.
Ø The Lord of the Rings is a classical struggle between good and evil. There are many pairs of characters representing good and evil.Sarumam and Gandalf, and Sauron and Tom Bombadil.
Ø Conclusion.
In short Lord of the Rings is a fictionalized history of earth whereas Harry Potter is set in present day England. According to Rowling…
“My books are largely about death”
In the lord of the Rings we see good and evil as diametrically opposed.
